"Metaphysical Messages"
There is nothing else as healing as the presence of God's Grace. No matter how hard you try, it is impossible to be perfect. Everyone makes mistakes and has errors in judgement. You will always make mistakes. You cannot be perfect, but you can try to love more! That is the whole message in the simplest of terms.
There are some theological differences between Evangelical and Metaphysical Christianity. Evangelicals focus on sin, judgement and redemption. Whereas in Metaphysical Christianity we focus on bondedness or Oneness with God instead of sin and shame. We are inseparable from God. Through connecting with God's presence, you can heal the broken parts inside of you.
It is only when we choose actions that hurt us or others that cause us to feel separated, but God never forsakes us. God is always there. Evangelicals call it sin. Because doing things that are hurtful is not in line with love, it is a separation from your purpose to love.
For Metaphysical Christians, it is about spiritual transformation rather than confession. Yes, acknowledging it is a step towards change. However words are empty without a change in behavior.
When you pray and meditate you connect with the divine Spirit present inside you. This is how you increase your awareness of Oneness and God. Practice listening to God's voice inside you, paying attention to your conscience. Countless times I've heard people say they didn't listen to that little voice inside saying not to do it, and afterwards wish they had. That is God's Spirit guiding you from inside.
You don't have to beat yourself up if you make a mistake or even have made a lot of them. You are a human. The good news is you're already under God's unlimited grace! Errors are simply lessons and opportunities for growth. Feeling guilty is a warning bell telling you something isn't right. Making amends and endeavoring to do better is what is needed to right the ship. Practical Christianity is applying it to your life every day. Otherwise, it means nothing if you just talk the talk and don't walk in the light. Remember you are called to love yourself too and that means ditching the guilt and shame, then forgiving yourself too!
Jesus said to FOLLOW him. He is the Way-Shower. To follow him means to BE LIKE HIM. That is Christ Consciousness or spiritual awareness. Our divine purpose is to love each other, love our neighbor even though they are different than us or are sometimes hard to love. It is easy to love people who are like us. The challenge is to stretch yourself. Be kinder. Judge less. Give more. Forgive more. Love, Faith and Charity, these are the greatest acts. Charity is of Spirit and Mind, not just giving material or monetary donations. Charity is also kindness and tolerance in judging others. God is within us, around us and eternal, the creative Source of all. If you love other people you are loving God too!
"And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."
- 1 Corinthians 13:13
Pay attention to your thoughts, words and actions. Try to be purposeful instead of reactive. Reflection, taking self inventory, admitting mistakes and understanding your inner world including motives makes a difference in shaping who you are, who you choose to be. Part of faith is knowing God will not abandon you and you can try again. There is always hope. No matter how far you think you've "fallen" from Grace, it is never too late. You are a precious, priceless and valuable part of the Holy Family!
It is about mind, idea and expression. You are a physical expression of the Divine Light of God. Remembering that helps you on your spiritual path to do things with intent and be purposeful.
Many religions have a triple or three God's as a deity but what is distinctive in Metaphysical Christianity is the focus on Oneness. It is easier to be kinder, loving and forgiving if you see others as part of One Eternal Spirit manifesting as individuals, just like yourself. Our bodies are temporary. We are just borrowing them until we return home to the Source that is God.
Everyone deserves to be loved. You are love. God is love. Our ultimate purpose is to love one another.
"And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."
- Colossians 3:14
How will you choose to be more loving and charitable? Be Love.
Let it be so and so it is. God bless you and Namaste.
