Prosperity Mindset

"Metaphysical Messages"

I think sometimes the idea of having a prosperity mindset can get a bad rap. I'll explain what a prosperity mindset actually is vs what some people think it is. Some think that a prosperity mindset is just focusing on accumulating material wealth. For those who are not spiritually minded, it could be like that. However in Metaphysical Science prosperity is not just about material gain or getting rich. Money alone can't buy happiness.
When you are spiritual, the focus is not a simple materialistic pursuit. Prosperity can be in finances, love, health, peace, happiness, or any area you want to have more abundance. A spiritual person uses their abundance to bless others too, not just in selfish interests. Part of being generous is the belief there is enough for everyone. By giving, you receive.
It is believing there is an unlimited supply of everything good, blessings, for every area of your life, for every person, that can be tapped into. Instead of focusing on lack, scarcity or believing something is impossible, rare or hard, you train your mind to focus on being open to receiving from unlimited abundance.
This is coupled with a deep gratitude for what you already have and thankfulness for the good flowing to you, even before it is received. Gratitude is a key for abundance. The more thankful you are, the more blessings you attract.
In order to do it, you must change your belief systems preventing you from receiving. This includes changing statements you make or thoughts you have that prevent it. Get rid of the negative and limiting thinking. Be careful of words like never, can't or won't.
For example, if you think you will never have enough money to own a house, there is a good chance that you won't save for one, or take the steps needed to get a higher paying job to afford the house. It also creates an issue with blocking the universe to manifest your goal of owning a house another way. People have inherited homes, get married and have a higher joint income, won enough money from a lottery ticket, invented something, sold something valuable, got a second job or side gig, or even get a roommate. Someone determined will find ways to cut costs in order to save money. This is just one example of how there are a multitude of other possibilities.
Being open to all the possibilities that may even be unknown to you allows for the blessing to come to you, and it is a signal to the universe that can draw that reality to you.
It does not mean you should just wish without action. Part of believing and receiving is doing. Visualizing, meditating and taking steps towards actualizing what you want are as important as believing you are worthy to receive it, removing doubts or fears, and having the goal on your mind. Ideas can come to you in meditation from God. Meditation really works!
In the example I gave, it could mean applying for a higher paying job, buying a lotto ticket, letting your inner circle know about your dream of owning a home. Family or friends can sometimes help with resources or information. A word of caution, if you know the person is a pessimist, you may want to tell people who will be supportive instead. If someone tries to rain on your parade, do not internalize what they say or be discouraged. Just because someone else didn't do something, does not mean you can't.
Being well off does not make someone a bad person in of itself. It can put a spiritual person in the position to help others and do good things. The fact is we need money to survive and when you have more of it, you are able to help others. Many of us have needed help at some point and it allows the opportunity to pay it forward. It is good to have money, but not let it be your master. Ask yourself if you won the lottery, how would you use that money? The answer can be telling.
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
-Matt 6:21
If someone isn't generous or is all consumed in the pursuit of money, it is like never being able to find true happiness because they are trying to fill a bottomless pit. Things can only fill a void temporarily. This is where the parable in the Bible comes from about it being harder for a man to get into heaven than a camel to go through the eye of a needle. The eye of the needle was a narrow entryway into town, to enter you would have to unload all the possessions on the camel to pass through. Money should not be worshiped.
“Prosperity in the form of wealth works exactly the same as everything else. You will see it coming into your life when you are unattached to needing it.”
– Wayne Dyer
If you put too much importance on stuff, it can prevent you from seeing what is really important and entering into true Nirvana. Greed, selfishness and always wanting more can never satisfy the heart. Nirvana is the end of desire (hence end of suffering). So it's not "the having" that is necessarily problematic, it's unhealthy attachments that can cause us suffering. We can't take anything with us when we transition to the other side. The things that are the most valuable, money can't buy. Sharing is caring or another way to say it is charity is caring.
"And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."
- 1 Corinthians 13:13
Sometimes charity is replaced with love in some translations. They are interchangeable because charity is an action of love.
Being rich is not everyone's dream. Some just want an abundance of peace, love and happiness in their life. Getting in that mindset will bring more of it into your life. Spend more time doing what you love, with the people you love. Many people have reevaluated what is truly important to their happiness and made adjustments. It might be downsizing, having more time and less stress. No one can decide that for you and everyone has different priorities. Success can look very different from person to person.
In any case, a prosperity mindset can help you reach for your dreams. God is there to help you along the way. The Universe is just waiting to unfold in your favor, open your mind and claim it!
"And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
- 2 Cor 9:8
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
- Luke 6:38
"They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights."
- Psalms 36:8
"Happiness will never come to those who fail to appreciate what they already have."
- Buddha
For you to live a prosperous life, first determine what prosperity is to you personally, then you can make a path to it. Prosperity begins with your state of mind.
Let it be so and so it is. God bless you and Namaste.
